X FACTOR chiefs will admit to viewers Take That are NOT performing live on Saturday’s show — to avoid a TV faking scandal.

The band, led by Gary Barlow, have had to record their performance of new single Greatest Day in advance, because they were already signed to appear on another ITV show in Manchester.


A source said: “Originally the idea was to insert the pre-recorded performance into X Factor and make it seem like it was live.


But with all the TV fakery and voting scandals, the producers decided it’s best to come clean.

At least they came clean. I would hate for the boys to be humiliated by a scandal, the media would blow it out of proportion and make it seem like TT did something wrong. Better to nip it in the bud and be honest even if it doesn't sound as good for the show. TT can't always be live for these things, especially with a brand new album and 50% of the band days/weeks away from having new bubs.
