Take That add third Scots gig


TAKE That are to play a record-breaking third show at Hampden Park in Glasgow next summer.

The world's biggest boy band have added another gig to their sell-out national stadium shows on June 19 and 20 next year.




Tickets for the show on June 21 are expected to go quickly after briefs for the first two gigs went within minutes of going on sale.




The four lads say the addition of the third date means they'll have more money to spend on an even better show.




Frontman Gary Barlow said: "We have been blown away with the amount of tickets we've sold in Scotland.




"It's always a good concert for us at the SECC but we thought we'd go bigger and put another show on.




"Here we are, putting a third on sale and it is incredible.




"What it means for us is that, as there are more shows that we are putting on and selling out, it is giving us more money to make the shows better. That's why we're so excited."




Already, the band - at number two in the singles chart with Greatest Day - have sold more than a million tickets for UK stadium gigs next summer, breaking a record thought to be held by Michael Jackson since the Eighties for selling over 600,000 tickets.




Gary said: "We love breaking records. Maybe we should wait until all the tickets are gone before announcing that we've broken another one in case nobody buys them.




"We've sold more than one million tickets now. It is nice to be breaking records, especially at a time when, apparently, music is on a downward trend."




This weekend the band's new album, The Circus, is tipped to reach No.1.




Tickets for the new June 21 date go on sale on Wednesday at 9am and are available from www.gigsinscotland.com or by calling Ticketmaster on 08444 999 990.

Ginny u will get ur chance...plus...if they add more STADIUM dates that means a VERY huge demand so European tour is just a matter of time!
